Bhakti Vriksha is a model for congregational preaching, which is successful in various temples and yatras around the world. This consists of several groups of congregational devotees, who meet once or twice a week, to have kirtan, discuss Krishna katha and partake prasadam, as well as to take guidance and counseling for making spiritual advancement. There are twelve Bhakti Vriksha groups, which meet once a week at the homes of various members. There are more than 150 devotees who regularly attend the programs and are chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. About 100 are chanting 16 rounds.
These devotees all together meet every week in the temple. They are in various mentor groups and take spiritual guidance from their respective mentors. The following devotees act as spiritual mentors:
- Keshav Prabhu
- Aniruddha Prabhu
- Basusrestha Prabhu
For the weekly meetings as well as for the regular programs in the temple, guidelines from the Bhakti Vriksha Manual are followed and the topics are selected from there. The devotees involved in the Bhakti Vriksha take part in other temple functions and render services of various types. Thus the Bhakti Vriksha model is very successfully implemented in Ujjain.
